Hand picked on the the Ong family tea farm in Pin-ling County in Northern Taiwan, this lightly oxidized and hand rolled premium oolong is harvested in late April to early May.  The name Bao Zhong means "paper wrapped" which is how it was distinctively packaged in the past.
After the newly sprouted leaves are hand plucked, they are withered in the sun for a few hours to reduce moisture. Once the tea master has observed a suitable subtleness, the leaves are delicately rolled sideways while being lightly roasted. The leaves end up minimally oxidized and maintain their bright, vibrant green color.

The long, twisted green leaves brew into a cup with a floral aroma, and hint of sweetness.  The brew is a greenish yellow, with medium body and a floral, sweet, creamy flavor.
