Yixing teapots, known as Zi Sha Hu in China, are among the most renowned teapots in the world. These iconic teapots are named after a small city in Jiangsu Province, where a unique blend of iron ore creates their distinctive coloration. Fired without glaze, Yixing teapots are traditionally used for steeping specific types of oolong teas. Due to the porous nature of the clay, the teapot gradually absorbs the flavors from the tea, becoming more refined with each use. This red clay teapot, with a 120ml (4 fl oz) capacity, features the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse logo and offers excellent temperature control for brewing. It is perfect for single-use or multiple infusions.
Hand wash with hot water and gentle scrubbing, avoiding soap or detergents to preserve the integrity of the teapot.
