Alishan tea is one of the most popular and accessible selections from Taiwan. Grown on the slopes of the famous Alishan mountain range, this Gaoshan Cha (High Mountain Tea) is one of the country's most exported varieties. Enjoy this fine selection paired with baked treats, cucumber sandwiches, or as a light way to brighten your afternoon.

This selection is grown using natural farming techniques, picked by hand, and oxidized to 15-20% resulting in a light oolong with mild caffeine. Produced in one of the major cultivation regions in the highlands of Taiwan, this High Mountain Tea is grown at over 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) in elevation. The rolling cloud coverage helps to produce higher contents of L-theanine, an amino acid known to promote relaxation. Famous for the mist shrouded peaks, the cooler environment slows the growth of the tea plants allowing them to develop full flavors and aromas.

A pale, yellow liquor has a light, nutty aroma. The delicate, floral palate develops to a clean finish. Bright top notes of citrus move into floral midtones of jasmine and lilac, ending with a touch of citrus.
