Harvested from the the first flush of leaves in early spring this varietal is distinguished, while exhibiting the key characteristics of Chinese green tea. Originating in the Fujian province of China the cultivar was officially recognized as a national variety in 1985, after being introduced to the city of Wuyishan during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
The light, pale liquor has delicate nutty aromas. The palate is fresh with notes of sweet grass ending with a clean finish.
