Our Organic Houjicha is certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan. The tea is grown with natural organic fertilizers and no agricultural chemicals or pesticides. Houjicha, also called Bancha, is made by roasting green Sencha tea leaves over high heat. This gentle heat creates a brownish tea leaf with a toasted nutty flavor. In Japan, Houjicha is one of the most popular everyday teas, considered supportive of daily wellness and commonly given to babies and people under the weather as it is high in Catechin and Vitamin C while being low in caffeine.

Time of Steeping - 2-4 minutes
