Hand Rolled Spring Beauty – First Flush Darjeeling 2026
Regular price $14.00FTGFOP1 Moonlight Clonal B-157
We are pleased to bring in one of the best Darjeeling teas from the Rohini Garden at the
Gopaldhara Estate in Darjeeling, India. Due to a colder than average winter, the first pick of the season was later than normal and only a limited supply of this rare tea will be available to consumers. Two leaves and a bud are plucked from the first growth of the 2026 season to produce this excellent first flush.
B-157 Tea leaves are grown at 1500 - 3000 ft in elevation to produce this specialty tea. This exquisite offering for 2026 reveals a tantalizingly fruity fragrance and aroma delicately enveloping the senses, with a light body that dances on the palate. It should not be mistaken as white tea as it has been oxidized, but all by hand without any machinery involved. This hand-rolled and carefully shuffled tea undergoes multiple gentle oxidations throughout the night, resulting in a unique sensory experience. Take care to notice the developing aromas at each step of the brewing process, and enjoy up to three steepings at lower temperatures to get the most out of this refined selection.
The dry leaf is bright green with slight golden buds. Once infused the green whole leaves will produce a bright yellow liquor that is clean and transparent. The flavor and aroma are both sweet and fruity with a honeyed finish. There is no astringency leaving you delighted and refreshed.
