Honey Orchid, otherwise known as Mi Lan Xiang, translated to “honey orchid fragrance,” is a highly regarded Dan Cong Oolong. There are at least 11 styles of Dan Cong, each named for their fragrance. This variety is lightly oxidized, creating a delicate, floral tea with the full bodied flavors of a black tea. Enjoy this selection in the morning, as an afternoon pick me up, or after dinner to compliment any time of day.
Dan Cong, or “Single Bush” are grown in the Phoenix Mountain Range of Guandong, China. The tea plants in the region are primarily grown around 4500 feet in elevation. Recognizable by the long, twisted, dry leaves varieties from this region are known for complex aromatics and flavor profiles.
A beautiful almond colored cup has bold, sweet, nutty aromas. The bright floral flavors balance into a complex finish.
