Longjing, translated to “Dragon Well” originated in the Longjing Village in the Zhejiang province. The pan roasted leaves showcase the distinct flavors of Chinese green tea. This premium variety of Longjing tea is grown just a few miles west of the original Longjing village in the organic tea garden of Lin’An. Try this premium Dragon Well to experience the centuries old tradition.
The tea plants are grown about 60km from the famed West Lake, or Xi Lake. The gardens are grown at an altitude of about 2625 feet (800m). Lin’An, the city where the gardens are located, has a warm climate with plentiful rainfall. The plants receive much of their moisture in the hot, rainy summers, and become dormant in the cold, cloudy winter months. The new spring leaves are then harvested to craft this sweet, mellow selection.
A refined, pale, yellow colored cup has fresh, nutty aromas. The palate is smooth, with a rich umami flavor, and notes of orchid flower. The complex profile comes together with a bright finish.
